Avalanche 6.0 can be installed on the following operating systems:

Avalanche 6.0 can use the following database platforms:
• SQL Server 2008
• SQL Server 2012
SQL Server must be installed before beginning installing Avalanche. The Avalanche
installer will prompt for the instance location and create the databases.
If the Express edition of SQL Server is installed, Microsoft SQL Server Express
with Tools must be used. To install this, you will to enable .NET Frameworks 3.5, which is included on
Windows Server 2008 R2. If you are using Windows Server 2012 R2, .NET Frameworks 3.5
must be installed separately.
Avalanche can be installed in the following modes:
1. Centralized Model - where the Avalanche services are installed on a single computer.
2 Distributed Model - where the Enterprise server and Device Servers are installed on separate servers. These servers can be side by side in the same server farm or across the
enterprise.
